Buoyed by the vision of UAID’s founders Katherine Scott and Joyce Whalen, UAID continues to provide opportunities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Opportunities to receive basic resources, workshops that teach health-related skills, provide opportunities to socializes, and provide financial and computer literacy based education. The goal of the organization is to continue to provide these opportunities free of charge to people with disabilities, their families, and the individuals that support them.
